Poem 1

A reason Jesus came to see
How people feel when we are we
Is so we’d know that he’s the key
And care for others who aren’t me
But how empathic must you be
To know that no one wants the tree

achievement pays but so does pain
When life is hard your soul will gain.
And yet it seems to be the deal
when people work to earn their meal
That some will get the soup to stir
and I’m the one with character
