Mercy and Salvation

The power’s in the service

Though this truth is often hid

You want to topple leaders

But the great already did.

Lock and Key

some people blame our God

for things that he has never done

and they will act like apple trees

were something really fun.

They’ll say that he’s a trickster

who has caused the fall of man

and then they say to curse him

if you think you ever can.

But there is just one trick

that tricks a bad deceitful heart.

And it is at the cross where all

can sing how great thou art.

The people seeking evil find it

near that racist place

where Christ was mocked and tortured

with the tears upon his face.

and yet their captured heart might find

a way to be set free.

For God reverses death and shows

his love on this new tree.

 Rations

I’m going on a diet and the only thing I’ll eat

is Christian baker wedding cakes for gays who are so neat.

I'll sue you if you never feed me or I haven’t ate,

Cause it is my religion and you must accommodate.

 Hmmm

Something crazy fun to do

That might be gone too far

Is when you meet somebody,

Wonder what their worst sins are.

Challenge

I didn’t do what I should do

And now my life’s upended.

How can I confront myself

And say that I’m offended.

 Heritage

We look at those who came before

and want to do a whole lot more

and not make their mistakes so bad

but there is reason to be sad

because we think that we're above

the failures of their work and love

but really what they did bequeath,

we're often very far beneath.

 Hidden Harbors

Our normal settings overlap with

other spirit lands,

And realms and worlds and habitats

not made by human hands.

So while some people walk in fields

where they can play and romp,

A person in the same bright room might

cry within a swamp.

 Basic Mental Health Care

When someone is depressed

With scary demons in their view

The crucial thing is no one needs

for you to be one too.

The Way it Works

I’m gay and cannot scrog a guy for we’d be brothers then.

And that’s the truth no matter who would say that it’s a sin.

But when I truly be myself as male it feels so good.

And makes me such a happy friend that wow I almost could.

 World of Pain

Mental hurt can make the heart

Drop deep into the night,

Bringing chronic sadness that

weighs down the mind’s whole sight.

People with depression

Carry quite a burdened load-

And may in fact be in a swamp

With much a snake and toad.

They walk in realms and spirit lands

with scary evil powers,

And sorrow worlds that overlap,

Invisible with ours.

Shadows, threats and haunting loss

become a constant fear

And there might be attacks that bring a

scary legion near.

Surrounded by some gators

Or a demon evil elf,

We have enough bad foes right now

So don’t be one yourself.

 What’s in it for me

God is very glorified when we do awesome things

And when we suffer well and show him thanks for what he brings.

But he is also glorious when he does stuff for us

And gives you what we need through storms and safety on the bus

So as I think of how to show the world that he’s a winner,

I think I’ll choose the option where I get a lobster dinner.

Final

Why is life so horrible with pain on every day.

All the news is sad with nothing comforting to say

But maybe we would feel alright and not give out a yelp

If we could even guess at all the people it will help.

Redo

There is bad stuff happening on every single day.

The news is being horrible in every single way.

But all of us might be more willing to endure this pain

If we had even hints of all the people who will gain.

Who What When Where Why

How could this be happening,

it isn’t what we want.

it doesn’t match our prayers or what

the people said up front.

But we don’t know what we would do

Or not be able to

If ways that God was helping people

we already knew.

 Wal-Mart vs. Target

Welcome, muslims, to our land,

There’s a lot to understand.

America had civil war

and all the stuff they fought it for

And Coke and Pepsi market fights

and arguing with human rights.

Courts and protests, wins and loss,

Flag designs by Besty Ross.

Revolution, died up-on,

Sacrifice of those now gone.

Lots of people disagree,

Some of us will never see.

So while you work things out with God

You could upgrade your jihad.

 Content Creator in God’s Ear

I try to post some jokes sometimes

And online share my clever rhymes.

I send some memes to overseas

But then run out of cash and fees.

I don’t look good in videos

But some excuse my problem nose.

A lot of people like my posts,

On facebook I will like their boasts.

I pray for them and ask for stuff

And then decide it’s not enough.

So who is wishing I’d be napping?

It’s God who hears my constant yapping.

What You Want From Your Hair Is Not There

You say that we appro-pri-ate and use the poor as charm

And decorate our lives with the minorities we harm

But you have done the same and just have hidden it more well

And still you look the other way when traffickers will sell.

So now the search for innocence has ended in a heist.

From people being much too proud to say it’s found in Christ.

 Stars and Stripes for Never

Why aren’t people citizens, they did not get a chance.

They didn’t get a license after racists took their stance.

But then their so-called advocates betrayed them just as well.

Because there were no borders as our life became a hell.

And as for all the teeming masses coming to each shore,

They sure avoided taxes and a lot would wait some more.

So now we see a horror as the government has swung.

A generation’s crime is all a war against the young.

 New poems

Resisting this, resisting that, within an angry mob

Why not fight your laziness and try to get a job

If you value service, work, and church and homes and life

then you’re a dirty racist who is brandishing a knife.

but if you stir up trouble just to be in history

then you’re a peaceful protestor who’s better off than me.

I will not be called a hypocrit

The 2020s were some years

that brought about a lot of fears

Pandemic, protests, wars, and loss-

fighting over who’s the boss

There were racists all around,

there were bodies on the ground.

There was hunger, cold, and heat-

politicians to be beat.

Gender people got so hurt.

Churches judged each ernie’s bert.

Immigration was the worst,

with children murdered last and first.

But still there’s heroes good and true,

essential workers serving you.

And something light amid the fright

is 20-20 means good sight.

 February Surprise

I have some favorite holidays, it once was Halloween.

Because we all got candy, more than I had ever seen.

And then I favored Christmas with the gifts and happy cheer,

But now a different holiday is what I like each year.

As I became romantic and feel love that I can’t say,

I changed my mind forever and of course like Groundhog’s Day!

 The Road Not Taken

Righteousness is costly but it’s also given free

So you can pray a prayer and then a saint is what you’ll be.

And yet some people found another short cut we don’t see.

To vote a different way and call your neighbor a naz-ee.

The Pen Point of an Ending

Maybe it’s a fail or maybe it was not so bad

Maybe it was good and that is why I now feel sad.

I tried my best and did the rest and worked so hard for years

And faced a lot of barriers with courage and with tears.

I took some risks with people and invested all I could

And learned a lot and stayed informed and worked hard like I should.

But now the ending seems to be what’s here and final, too.

And I wrap up this lifetime’s goal and did all I would do.

So maybe it is over and has been what it has been.

And all that’s left is just to shrug and do it all again.

 A poet’s find

I’m searching for some metaphors and stumble on a scene

Where someone left a paper bag on grass that’s very green.

And in the bag’s a sandwich and a cookie and some punch,

So really what we’re dealing with is someone’s yummy lunch.

And was it just forgotten or is it a thoughtful gift

And can you trust the safety when the cost was very thrift.

And what should all the meaning be and what is symbolized

And how can I make sure this poem is quickly liked and prized.

Well maybe while I’m thinking I will eat this lunch that’s free

And guess that someone somewhere must have surely thought of me

But will the poem just disappear when I no longer dine

And someone comes to yell at me and says hey that was mine.

But I’m in charge of how this goes so maybe they were wrong.

And there’s a table full of lunches, then we sing a song.

Well that is nice and life makes sense but some things just aren’t free.

So 50 trillion dollars is the total you owe me.

"This is You"

The game that people liked to play

In year 2000 every day,

Was choosing some disgusting fool

And saying this is your whole school.

An ugly person in the news

Is usually who they all would choose

And then retort that “this is you.”

Who steals from kids and kills the Jew.

Your leaders or whoever’s worse

Would be the person they would curse

But they all meant much more by that

And wouldn’t even call you fat.

They wouldn’t say it to your face

But chose a rep to be your race.

And often it would be the vote

Or something bad that someone wrote

So you would feel some horror too

And know that mascot could be you.

And yet the guy who bore the cross

And saved us from eternal loss

Was not the symbol held up high

To lead us back to God’s great sky.

So now as violent mobs will fuss

I hope you know that Christ was us.

 Winter Storm 2026

My people solve the other ice

When weather storms are not so nice.

Some martyrs fight the feds and die

While cops hurt migrants, kill and lie.

And then the poets chime right in

As if they also have no sin.

But I am loyal still to those

Who shovel snow with frozen nose

The workers, teachers, southern poor

Who went to church a whole lot more

And warm their homes and call and pray

And stay off roads for one free day.

They voted bad but had no choice

And that’s the fight that took their voice.

It’s not their job to solve it all,

But they are blamed for all man’s fall.

And then it snows and each depend

On workers, leaders, hosts and friend.

And things for granted much were took

And only some have read the book

That told us all to treat each one

The way we’d want it also done.

So while some stars might reap their work

I still respect those not a jerk

Who all get framed by politics

But live in simple times and sticks

Like crosses carried all their life

Like slaughtered lambs by country’s knife

And did their duties, not with thanks

And now contend with dwindling banks.

 comedy joke:

you know how people sometimes say you can be on a first name basis with someone?

well what if you were on a mis-spelled name basis.

 facecrook

The algorithms changed one day

so techs get paid for what we say

and videos make much more cash

When shooters kill at every bash

Now everyone at laptop sits

And beauties get the job of wits.

Rumors and Reputation

When people judge your innocence and make up crooked lies

And say that you are wrong or bad behind their vain disguise

Have faith that they will be corrected with a faultless rod.

In front of all humanity, they’ll hear the truth from God.

Christmas Blessing Poem

It’s time to pray a Christmas prayer

For anyone in deep despair

And all the people on the earth

Who need a blessing, life, and mirth.

I’ll ask for trillions, all I can.

some gifts for every living man.

And people yet to give their life

And those who feel the pain and strife.

I’ll pray for comfort, safe relief,

with food and water, grain and beef.

Enough for people yet to live

Enough for anyone to give.

A store of wonder, awe, and peace,

some gadgets, gizmos, wool, and fleece.

A wealth of candy, games and plush,

the blessings of each Christmas rush.

But as the total grows and soars,

And rivals impact of the wars

And not a monk has yet surpassed

Requests like this that gained so fast,

There’s still a gift that topples that-

A crown that tumbles Frosty’s hat.

A blessing more than any toy:

A humble savior baby boy.

The ultimate who brought us love,

The greatest gift from up above.

more new poems

Hints of Rage

There’s pain in anger, hurt in hate,

Agony when things aren’t great.

A bitter heart could be a clue

That someone needs some love from you.

When the holidays are a drag

It’s a scary season but there’s one thing that I ask,

Halloween is over, you can now remove your mask.

Happy new year to my friends and family and loves,

Christmas time is over, you can now remove your gloves.

January’s time for bread and hearty winter soups,

Then Valentines is here so you can now remove your.. oops

Original Sin

The years go by, then centuries, as history makes its mark

and ages, times, and decades turn out happy, mean, or dark.

When children of the future learn of all our selfish heist,

They’ll suffer very horribly like ageless savior Christ

And though we didn’t want to harm that great posterity,

They’ll likely say it’s all our fault with much sincerity.

But as they place their blame on those that caused the living hell,

I must admit that their disgust is meant for me as well.

 Snowed

They said that there are no two snowflakes just alike at all,

But I think that’s impossible, and matching crystals fall.

So if researchers disagree and try to smear my name,

I’ll say to science losers that you’re always all the same.

How do I love thee

You deserve some compliments

As many as the sediments

But I’ll just say I like your socks

and sand’s all from a single rock.

Friend or Faux

A person tells you what to do and says you should forgive

And griping about anything is not how you should live.

they say to just get over it and keep a quiet mind

and let yourself be ruined with a new life left to find.

They say to look inside your heart from where all things must stem

But what those people do not see is you’re forgiving them

fourth holiday poem

 War and Peace

A person said they don’t want war,

and nothing is worth fighting for

But then the soldier thought a while

And said to them without a smile,

About this peace that’s neverending:

That’s the thing that we’re defending.
