Original Sin 

The years go by, then centuries, as history makes its mark

and ages,  times and decades turn out happy, mean, or dark.

When children of the future learn about our selfish heist,

They’ll suffer very horribly like ageless savior Christ

And though we didn’t want to harm that great posterity,

They’ll likely say it’s all our fault with much sincerity.

And when they place their blame on those that caused the living hell,

I must admit that their disgust is meant for me as well.
